Boom! That was the sound of you dropping the mic on this challenge. So, how does it feel?
I know you had some serious goals at the start of this challenge. If you exceeded them, great! I hope you’re as proud of yourself as I am proud of you. And if you’re not where you want to be, don’t beat yourself up. Shake off the dust and focus forward. Every moment is another opportunity to do great things. Don’t waste it!
I’m sure you’re wondering, “What do I do next?” Well, that’s entirely up to you, champ. You could most definitely start right back at the top of this program next week. This is a program you can keep doing for life—the variety will do two things: It’ll keep you from getting bored and keep you from plateauing.
If you want to start again or build on what you’ve achieved, I’d recommend you start from the beginning: Week one, day one. Look at it as a fresh challenge and an opportunity to push yourself in brand new ways. By now, you should fully understand the concept of progressive overload. That’s the sweet science of doing a little more or a little better, each time. Use it to your advantage!
You might increase the weight you lift for each of the exercises, or you might add an additional set for each of the exercises.
Was there something you felt you could have done better in this last round? Aim to improve it in this next go-around!
Another idea: Bring some friends into this mix or get your community involved this time—I’m sure they’ll be eager to get started after seeing you succeed. You could even ask your gym to host this as a capsule challenge for you and any other member who wants to get in the game.
The sky is the limit. How far are you willing to go?
Inside of you is true greatness. All you need to do is open the door and let it out.
It’s been an honor and a privilege to be your coach over these last eight weeks. Remember, fitness creates freedom. Stay fit. Stay free. Stay shredded!
And go do something awesome for someone, today.
