As a certified personal trainer, I’m always looking for ways to fuel my body quickly, efficiently, and deliciously. I work hard to nourish myself with the right foods and supplements, including my daily protein shakes.
I enjoy trying new protein powders, but my needs are specific. The product must be:
- Plant-based (I don’t tolerate dairy well)
- High in protein for my active lifestyle
- Low in carbohydrates and fats to fit my personal diet
- Tasty!

When Women’s Best launched exclusively in the U.S. at The Vitamin Shoppe, I had to give their products a try. There was so much buzz about the brand on Instagram, and countless fitness influencers that I follow swore by the line.
I instantly fell in love, too. From BCAA Amino and Pre-Workout, to Amino & Energy and True Beauty, I became a big fan of all of their products. (So big, in fact, that I’m now a Women’s Best athlete!) Their Women’s Best Vegan Protein has been a true favorite—and is now a staple of my daily diet.
What To Know About Women’s Best Vegan Protein
Women’s Best Vegan Protein is available in Chocolate, Vanilla, and (my personal go-to) Cookies & Cream. Every scoop contains 22 grams of plant-based protein sourced from pea protein isolate, rice protein concentrate, and carob germ flour protein. The powder offers a complete amino acid profile to supply your body with everything it needs to support muscle growth and recovery.
What I especially love is that the vegan protein’s nutritional profile matches my personal needs. Each serving contains 120 calories, just two grams of carbohydrates, 2.5 grams of fat, and zero sugars. And, of course, it tastes great!
How I Use Women’s Best Vegan Protein
I use Women’s Best Vegan Protein to support my current health and fitness routine, maintain lean muscle mass, and ensure I get adequate amounts of protein in my diet.
This particular protein is a great multi-purpose option. I change up when and how I take my protein based on my schedule—and Women’s Best is super-versatile for that. I’ve blended it into protein shakes in the mornings, or mixed it in my shaker cup after a workout if I know I won’t be able to make a meal for a little while. I love that it allows me to provide my body the nutrients it needs to recover from my workout if I’m in a rush.
Beyond smoothies, I also personally love making protein muffins, cookies, bars, and pancakes with my Women’s Best Vegan Protein. (Two of my go-to’s: these No-Bake Cookies & Cream Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars or this delicious Post-Workout Smoothie).

Final Thoughts
I’ve tried a lot of other plant-based protein powders and struggled to find one with the consistency and taste I was searching for. I wanted something that blended well, wasn’t chalky or gritty, and didn’t leave my smoothie lumpy. I also wanted a protein powder that actually tasted good in smoothies or baked goods, and wanted to avoid the bitter flavor or earthy after-taste a lot of plant-based powders often have.
To me, Women’s Best Vegan Protein really stands out because it tastes great and mixes perfectly. I recommend this product to friends and personal training clients, not only for the nutritional benefits but because it’s a plant-based protein that’s truly delicious.
