Week 1: Pizza Burgers That Are 100 Percent Muscle

Do you love pizza? Do you love burgers? I mean, who doesn’t, right? They’re not usually the most macro-friendly foods, but with this recipe you can crush two cravings in one dinner—without totally blowing your eating for the day. (Seriously, just wait ‘til you see the macros at the end!)

Trust me, this meal makes low-carb taste so good.

Here’s what you need to get started:

Mix ground beef, white onion, garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a bowl. Then form your burger patties. (I usually make six patties, but you can make between five and eight burgers, depending how much you’re trying to chow down.)

Then, heat up the olive oil in a large sauce pan on the stove over medium heat. Place your patties and brown each side—about two to four minutes each.

Reduce heat to medium-low, and add the marinara sauce. Let the burgers continue to cook in the sauce for five more minutes on each side.

Then, top your burgers with a slice of mozzarella and pepperoni. Keep burgers over heat until the cheese starts to melt, about two to five more minutes.

Remove from heat, serve, and crush that high-protein, low-carb goodness. So simple!
